My name is Lucie. I am the founder of Evenness personalized nutrition. (Evenness stands for quality-balance-stability). Having spent the start of my career as an accountant at a Financial and Accountancy firm, I have experienced first-hand how stress, poor diet and trouble sleeping can impact our health. I have developed a lot of health problems, such as digestive issues, frequent colds and sinuses, very bad acne and eczema. I developed lactose intolerance and often suffered from hay fever.
After the pregnancy with my daughter, I had more time to research about the food and its effect on our health and skin. Cutting down the sugar, dairy, gluten, caffeine and having just 2 regular and nutritionally balanced meals a day improved my health hugely. Over the years I became an advocate for low GI (glycaemic index), high fibre diet and intermittent fasting.
I have started to work in a health store as I felt by sharing my knowledge and personal experience might help other people who struggle with the same or similar symptoms. Advising customers about healthy eating and nutrition is the most enjoyable part of my job (and trust me retail job can be very challenging), but I soon realized how unique we all are, and that one-size-fits-all approach does not work due to our biological differences such as genetic profile, gut microbiome and metabolic responses.
I have learnt that diet must be personalized according to individual needs and goals, so I decided to upgrade my knowledge and went back to school. Over the last ten years, I have finished a few different nutritional courses, and I am now a qualified nutritional therapist (Registered with BANT and CNHC) and qualified to advise about health supplements. I also constantly improve my knowledge by attending many CPD webinars and workshops, so I can keep up with the latest studies and developments in the field of nutrition.
